Join us October 28 as James Chan, Ph.D., President, Asia Marketing and Management, Philadelphia, shares his intimate knowledge of the realities of selling US products and services to China. Dr. Chan has worked closely with the US Department of Commerce providing his expertise to small and medium sized industrial and technology firms as well as Fortune 500s. A well-known authority on exporting to China, he is a member of the US Department of Commerce MidAtlantic District Export Council. Author of the Spare Room Tycoon, Chan was born in Guangzhou and is a graduate of the Universities of Hong Kong, Chicago, and Michigan. He is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. Some topics to be addressed will be the yuan, intellectual property rights, getting paid from China, pitfalls for service providers, finding reliable sales agents and distributors, contract negotiation, cultural differences affecting business. Monmouth University is located in West Long Branch, New Jersey with easy access from the Garden State Parkway, Route 18, and I-195.
